Just like thousands of other runners, Soliders of 1st Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the Tennessee Army National Guard, with the 13th Sustainment Brigade (Expeditionary), participated in the Country Music Marathon on April 24, 2010. The only difference was these soldiers were running their race overseas at their base in Iraq!

Colombians take top two spots in men’s race, new course record for women’s half marathon
Nashville, TN – April 24, 2010 – For the first time in its 11 year history, an American has won the Country Music Marathon. Ilsa Paulson, of New York City, was the first woman to break the tape on the 26.2-mile course with a time of 2 hours, 33 minutes and 41 seconds.
